K.R.M.Niranjan Kumar – A Profile


K.R.M.Niranjan Kumar was born in 1970 in Chennai as the son of Mrs. T.M. Damayanthi (Teacher, Govt. School, Kodambakkam) & K.R.Madhavachary (Lay Secretary, Directorate Medical Services, Chennai ). He had his school education in MCN Higher Secondary School, Chennai till SSLC (School First) and  later joined Murugappa Polytechnic, Avadi (AMM /TI cycle group) for Sandwich diploma in Electronics & communication Engineering (3 ½ Years) in 1985. He graduated with First class & distinction from the institution.

He started his career in IndChem Electronics Pvt., Chennai in 1989 and worked in Madurai, Lucknow, New Delhi branches taking care of Patient Monitoring products. After a short stint there in 1991 he decided to join the Indian giant Larsen & Turbo Limited in their medical Equipment division in Lucknow as Sales / Service Engineer for their UP business.

He was associated with the NTPC hospital project by L&T in Farraka (1992). He also served as Service Engineer in Madurai (1993). He was made Service – in – Charge in Ernakulam (1995) and as non branch location Engineer in Calicut (1996).

Feeling the need for a change Mr. Niranjan resigned from L&T in 1999 and established Sales ‘N’ Service (proprietorship) in Calicut. His astute business mind and hard work soon made him into a leading L&T medical dealer for North Kerala in 1999.

Sales ‘N’ Service grew by leaps and bounds and became Trivitron - Aloka dealer & MITI Biosys Korea dealer for 2000.  After-sales service and timely diversification are factors that have contributed to the speedy growth. In 2001 a core team was founded for ultrasound & color Doppler services in Kerala state. Franchise network for the service of ultrasound & color Doppler for south India, www. Indiaultrasound.com was launched in 2002. Refurbishment was started for dealers in south & West India in 2003. With product lines being extended and a large dealer network proliferation, the Sales ‘N’ Service is all set to enter the next century with aplomb.

Sales ‘N’ Service earned the recognition by DOTMED http://www.dotmed.com/news/story/1155/  in 2005.

An exclusive Export Division was started along with other activities to export Color Dopplers to Dubai, Ultrasound Equipment to Nigeria, Spares & Probes to US, Mexico, Nigeria and other countries. Timely delivery, a crucial factor in exports, gets top priority here. Right now, it is in the process of going global.

 2006 marked the launch of www.probeclinic.net . Mr. Niranjan a shining example of entrepreneurial spirit and social commitment has ambitious projects on the anvil. He still keeps his research interests alive and is in the process of getting Entrepreneur Fund for Probe Research and Repair purposes from the department of Science & Technology. He has also started servicing probes which came from Bulgaria, Riyadth etc.

Mr. Niranjan is also the Managing partner in Vindhya Lab & Diagnostic centre, Calicut A devoted family man, he is married to Mrs. L. C. Sridevi, MA, MPhil who takes care of the administration of Vindhya Lab & Diagnostic centre. They have three kids namely Sanjani, Amarchand and Kishen Madhavan. Mr. Niranjan has two brothers, Mr. K. R. M. Kishore Kumar IPS, (DIG Range) Kurnool, Andrapradesh, India and Mr. K. R. M. Prakash Kumar MBA, Marketing Manager National Plastics Co., LLC in Sharjah.
